3 Ways To Fix Your Eyes on Him

When the weight of this world is too much to bear, when you feel like you couldn’t possibly take one more hit — you can look to Christ on Calvary, who bore your sin so that you might be made right with God the Father.

He made it possible for you to spend eternity in perfection with our Creator. No pain, darkness, sin, or sorrow will ever be able to reach you.

When I lift my eyes away from this world and onto Him, I find that I can relax my shoulders and unclench my jaw. I can rest my mind and heart.

He holds my future.

He holds yours, too.

Sister, look to Calvary, where all was made right at that cross on the hill. His blood shed for you is our source of hope. You’ll see how His grace and mercy are sufficient for each day (Lamentations 3:22-23).

“The hands that hold your future are the same hands that were pierced for you. You can loosen your grip.”

-Jen Oshman

Here are a few practical ways to fix your eyes on Him:

  • Start each day with Scripture. Even if all you can give is 10 minutes.

  • Keep track of your prayers in a journal and watch God orchestrate everything in your life according to His perfect will.

  • Stay connected to your local body of believers and be actively involved in the church.
