Daily Delight
I need God. I need Him for everything.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀It’s Him who gets me up in the morning and gives me strength to work through the hard things. He comforts me in the waiting. Convicts me with love. Deals with my pride and my stubborn attitude. Reminds me that He wants me. Values me. Renews me. Grows me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I need all of these things so desperately, and God always comes through for me. I trip up a lot, but He’s very good at dusting me off and sending me back into the game. He’s a perfect Dad and I depend on Him – like a kid who knows that their old man will catch them if they fall off the bike.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Living this way has allowed me to be both 100% strong and 100% vulnerable. It’s allowed me to flourish in every area – not because my circumstances have changed, but because my mindset is changing. For the first time in my life, I’m learning what it means to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer (Romans 12:12). All of it has come from relationship with the greatest Father. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Truly, the Lord longs for relationship with every single soul on this earth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀He’s the steadiest Dad. He’s the most loyal best friend. He’s kind and generous, cool and funny. He’s tender and thoughtful, loving and strong. He is the pursuer of every heart. He fills every empty space. He fights for His family, and He doesn’t lose.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Today, I’m praying for you – that you seek Him out. I pray, that in your dirtiest and messiest moments, you would look to Him. His heart is soft towards us. He wants us as we are. For,⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀“It is God who arms [us] with strength and keeps [our] way secure. He makes [our] feet like the feet of a deer; He causes [us] to stand on the heights. He trains [our] hands for battle; [our] arms can bend a bow of bronze. You make Your saving help [our] shield, and Your right hand sustains [us]; Your help has made [us] great. You provide a broad path for [our] feet, so that [our] ankles do not give way” (Psalms 18:32 – 36).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
