Daily Delight
If you had told me years ago, let alone a few months, that I would be writing devotionals for an online women’s ministry, I wouldn’t have believed you.
I recently found myself in a place where I lacked purpose and had a desire to serve God; but didn’t know how. I prayed one night for clarity and direction in my life so I could fulfill His plan for myself. The next day I saw an invitation for writers on Daughters of Delight. Not only was I in amazement of God’s timing, I felt this was exactly what He wanted me to do.
Through His blessing, I was selected to begin sharing the Word. Although I felt confident in this path, I couldn’t have done anything more out of my comfort zone. Not only was I relatively made new again in my faith, speaking about it certainly seemed like a daunting task. However, our Father often uses uncomfortable situations to allow us to grow.
Each week, I feared I couldn’t find the words to say...what if I failed? But James 1: 5 states, “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you” (NIV), and that is exactly what He did. God provided His words to flow from me to all of you. Sweet sisters, I say all this to encourage you to never be afraid of stepping out in faith. If the Lord is calling you to do something in His name, trust that He will see you through it. I am so thankful for all of you who took the time to grow closer to Jesus and read my devotionals. This experience has been one I will never forget and will forever be grateful!
