When you play a sport, it takes a lot of time, effort, and hard work to build endurance. For example, when conditioning for water polo, I could not carry a jug of water above my head while treading water until I gained enough muscle and strength.
Your God-given visions work the same way. Over time, you will build your endurance, walk out of your comfort zone, create and build new habits, etc.
Our walk with Christ takes time, energy, and sacrifice in order for God to the places He has lined up for us to go. God has put things on my heart to do that I never imagined doing! It’s overwhelming and exciting at the same time. As excited as I am and as ready as I may feel, I know that in order to get to where I am called to be, I have to rely on God to train me first.
Not everyone will understand the purpose, the vision and the goals God gives you to see through. Despite what anyone thinks, however, God is your life coach. He is in the process of training you for the next level. In doing so, you will grow stronger in Him and more confident in the call He has given you to walk out.
Work hard and make your heavenly Father proud. Don’t allow people, your past or your pain to get in the way of your endurance training. Although these things may come up, the Lord will reveal how to overcome them and bring healing and peace to your heart before He promotes you.
"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." —Colossians 1:11-12 (NIV)
