This same concept of patience and thoughtful behavior can be applied to our spiritual lives. When we rush to grow our faith, or desire to see instant results of our prayer time, Bible reading, or Scripture memory, we lose sight of the purpose of our spiritual disciplines.

I don’t know about you, but I want to be remembered as a woman after God’s own heart. To achieve this, we follow David’s example. In good times and bad, we praise and draw strength from our Father in Heaven; rejoicing in His mercy. 

We cannot afford to accept that fear is a part of life. Remember fear is an unwelcome guest that was never sent by God. Instead, He blessed us with tools to combat fear. In doing so, we can change the dark conversations the enemy instigates to those filled with the truth of who God created us to be.

In His perfect timing, God satisfies the empty, tired, burdened soul. Knowing Him and spending time with Him brings replenishment. Depending and waiting on Him brings us what we need.

To pursue peace, we must seek the true light...Jesus. The more we consume Jesus, learn about His character, and apply His principles in our life, the more we shine and glorify Him.

The way we remember Jesus’ sacrifice is reflected in our spoken words, thoughts, and how we treat other people–even our nonreligious friends.

This is not to encourage us to remain in our sin, but to truly confess and then walk in the freedom of forgiveness intended for us.

The refresh button on our lives has already been pushed- hallelujah! Friend, we have been made new and washed clean!

You are the light of the world. God desires us to walk in step with Him. Ask Him about the places of your life that He would help with. Places where He would bring freedom and life. And find yourself shining brightly because of it.

Jesus entertained strangers. His hospitality wasn't restricted to those who followed him but was specially extended to those who did not because they urgently needed to hear His message!

Leah never got to see how her pain led to something so beautiful, the Savior of the world. She just chose to praise God in her situation, as bleak and hopeless as it was. God wastes nothing.

Unlike Jesus, we humans change every day. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Sometimes, we mature through the grace of God and our dependence on Him. Sometimes, we grow in awkward directions because of our sin or lack of discipline in knowing God intimately.

We see similar calls to courage BECAUSE God is the One who is fighting for us. Because He will never abandon us.

Psalm 34:18 encourages us that God delights in caring for those who may feel pain in place of all the surrounding joy. This verse is a loving reminder of our need to talk to our Father about the difficult moments of missing our loved ones during such a special time.

When heaviness comes and joy evades me, my heart stumbles to remember that my unceasing joy hasn’t truly left. Christ Holds the promise of peace.

God provided a way out, but for reasons unbeknownst to us, she made the fateful choice to look back and paid the ultimate price.

The central focus of God’s perfect plan for His creation is Christ. You were created to know Him and worship Him.

You may feel like an outcast because of what you’ve done in the past. But take heart! There is forgiveness and redemption for you at the foot of the cross.

God calls us to be still. It is a beautiful and courageous act because it takes us out of relying on our own strength and leads us into embracing and relying on His strength. Ps. 46:10 commands, "be still and know that I am God”.
