5 Glimpses into the Father's Heart
Today, I want to challenge you to spend some time today delighting in the Father’s heart. Here are 5 sweet glimpses of it to get you started. Be blessed! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀1. God is Love. (Romans 5:5) Because of His great love for us, we are never alone. The Father graciously guides us- compassionately, personally, purposefully, & powerfully - in love! His love is immeasurable & does not hold back. His love gives us everything, & there’s nothing we can do to earn it or lose it. It’s already ours. That being said, we are not called to earn His love, but to deeply enjoy it & let it sustain us. Our call is to glorify Him in all things & be happy in His holiness! Be led by His love! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀2. God is the ultimate Deliverer. (Psalm 6) Our God is the God of true, abundant life! He has the power to deliver His people through death! Death might be an inescapable result of our sin, but it does NOT have the final say. God gets the first word in creation & the last word in re-creation. Because of Christ, a perfect & eternal life awaits us. Praise be to God! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀3. God’s grace is out of this world. It’s an unmatchable, unmeritable favor from the Father that invites us to drink from the fountain of forgiveness. God is “merciful & gracious, slow to anger, & abounding in steadfast love & faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity & transgression & sin” (Exodus 34:6–7). Where sin abounds, God’s grace abounds more.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀4. God is faithful forever! (1 Corinthians 1:9) He is all-powerful, all-knowing & all for us. He is more faithful & committed to us than we will ever be to Him. Take Peter, for example. Christ told Peter he would deny Him, but Peter was sure this would not be the case. (Luke 22:31-34) Yet, it was. (Luke 22:54-62) We all have Peter moments. Thanks be to God, Christ paid the penalty for our faithfulness through His faithfulness through His death on the cross.5. God is sovereign over all of creation- ALL of it! No matter what we think or do, nothing can successfully prevent what God intends to see through. (Isaiah 46:9-10) The Father does as He pleases. Whatever He does, though, we can trust it is always in alignment with His will. (Ephesians 1:11) God will never, ever wrong anyone. Everything He does is righteous & just. Everything. (Romans 9:14)Sisters, to live is Christ, to die is gain. Know the Truth. Be changed by the Truth. Live the Truth!
