Daily Delight
Today we are ditching the hesitation button we keep close by in our minds, ladies.
Today, we are going to take immediate action when the Holy Spirit prompts us to do something for someone else.
Why? Because God deeply desires to see you ditch a mindset overflowing with “good intentions” and adopt Christ’s mindset of impacting lives for the Kingdom of God.
Sisters, my challenge to you today is to listen to the nudges of the Holy Spirit—without hesitation—and act when He asks you to. Exercise obedience here. When the Holy Spirit places someone on your heart today out of the blue, stop and pray for them right then and there. When the Spirit gives you the idea of making a meal, running an errand or texting a sweet message to that person you know is struggling and needs some love and support, don’t hesitate, just do it.
Unlike our laundry list of errands and to-do’s, the nudges of the Holy Spirit in our lives as Christians are not something “we’ll get to later.” They don’t belong in the same category as the list of tasks we tend to put off until tomorrow!
The problem with operating this way is that it is very easy for the enemy to manipulate. He loves when we settle for a day filled with good intentions but no actions. In the busyness of juggling our own responsibilities each day, we can very quickly sidestep the opportunities given to us by the Holy Spirit to love and impact others. I urge you to value sharing the love of Christ to others today more significant than the plans you have for yourself today. Ditch the hesitation button.
Don’t let the “want to’s” of today become “I wish I would have’s” tomorrow friend. Let the good intentions the Holy Spirit plants in your heart lead you into great actions! The people who encounter you will be so glad you didn’t settle for good intentions today!
