My younger sister graduated from high school last weekend and I have had so many mixed emotions about it. I have been praying to the Lord to watch over her and take care of her as she makes her big move to attend school in Texas. As much as I would like to have a closer relationship with my sister, the Lord has pressed in on my heart to fervently keep praying for her and our relationship.I am the oldest of four children in my family, and the enemy has taunted me for everything I’ve done in my past. I have dealt with insecurities of not setting a good example for my siblings when I was growing up. I did not grow up in a Christian home and I did what I wanted once I became an adult. I separated myself and I was of the world, far from God.Although it is challenging to connect with my sister, I know the Lord is in the midst of mending and restoring. Broken relationships often put a strain on our heart, but it is the Lord who softens and puts it back together. I love how sensitive and patient our Father God is when it comes to dealing with our heart pains and issues. He knows how long it will take us to heal and He knows the exact timing when everything will fall into place. He knows every single detail of the healing process. The Lord is my example to be patient and sensitive towards others and where their heart is at. I am so grateful we serve a God who cares about redeeming and restoring what’s been broken; a God who makes ALL things new, including us.Wherever you’re at today, do not discount yourself from this truth. Soak in it and watch as His glory shines through, every step of the way.

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” -Isaiah 40: 31 (NIV)

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” -Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)
