Daughters of Delight,Year after year, as we approach a new beginning, we should be mindful to remain focused on fully ending a year strong. Typically, we may review our New Year resolutions, with the intent of making these current year goals, now our new year goals...again! Now, albeit some accomplishments take time and will require adjustments with extended deadlines. And that’s okay! Yet, we should do all that we can to strategically execute both, our short and long term goals, planning them accordingly. Examine what you would like and need to accomplish for your short term goals. Calculate how long it will take you to reach the goal. Determine what your goals will require in order for them to begin. Do you needs funds? Specific people? A business plan? Or a simple, “Yes, God!”? Think about why you are setting out to pursue these particular goals. And remember that planning for long term goals still requires short term benchmarks! As you process your plan, always remember to pray along the way. Be mindful of surrendering all your plans to God. Ask for help! Take breaks when necessary, and incorporate them into your plan. Burnout has the potential to drastically derail you physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. And lastly, finish what you’ve started. Remember, the year isn’t over, until it’s over! Finally, let’s focus on what you have accomplished this year. First, give yourself a round of applause! As my mother would say, “I’m clapping it up for you!” Congratulations! You overcame excuses, self-doubt and difficult circumstances. Doesn’t it feel good?! I’m so happy that you’re happy, and needless to say, I want you to remain in this place of joy, fulfillment and gratitude. I’d love to hear about your 2018 accomplishments, so please share, so we can encourage one another!

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord, would fulfill His promises to her!” -Luke 1:45 (NIV)
