Daily Delight
A willing woman is the most precious kind. Today, I write to the woman who has “stuff” she’s working on.
I write to the woman with the bad habit, the family drama, the relationship issues, the destructive mentality, the addiction. To you, the woman with “stuff” you just can’t shake, I write to you - my friend, my beloved sister, my fellow sojourner on this journey with Jesus.
First off, I want you to know I come to you today with “stuff” too. There are times when I step back and glance at my life and can only see the areas where I keep missing the mark.
Ever been there?
A couple days ago I had one of those “missing the mark” kind of days. I felt a familiar wave of frustration rise within me. As I braced for it to crash and send my mentality spiraling downward, the Holy Spirit planted a question in my mind that calmed the storm: “Are you willing, My daughter?” God looked at me in that moment with my hands full of “stuff” and reminded me how greatly He values my willingness to be changed by Him.
To God, a willing woman is the most precious kind. I want to invite you today to answer God’s question for yourself. Are you willing to lay your “stuff” at God’s feet this very moment? Are you willing to turn your focus from the areas you fall short to God’s love and power?
Remember sweet friend, we are not at our best when we have nothing left to work on or change. We are at our best when our desire to be changed by God aligns with His delight to change us for the glory of His great name! Only then do we enjoy the peace and serenity of true surrender.
Father, I pray today that my sisters would find strength and peace in their willingness to be forever changed by you. I ask Father that the peace that comes with surrendering our “stuff” at your feet would come to all who call upon you today. Thank you for your love Father. In Jesus name. Amen.
