Daily Delight

Adam and Eve were naked and unashamed before God.

They lived with God in such an intimate relationship and environment, that they initially knew nothing of disappointment, pain or shame. Their world was truly a paradise of perfection and purity.I wonder what it was like to live like this with God. Don't you?

With nothing being hidden from the Father, He kept the knowledge of being naked from them.

I can imagine that God wanted absolutely nothing covering their souls or physical bodies. He wanted to dwell among and enjoy His creation, in the literal fashion of which He created them. He knew one day their relationship would change due to their disobedience and the consequence. At that time, He made the first blood sacrifice by killing an animal--perhaps a lamb--to cover them physically with it's skin and establish the need for a blood sacrifice to cover sin.

Because of His love and desire for a relationship with His children, God is still inviting us to live naked and unashamed before Him and with Him. God never abandoned His relationship with Adam and Eve when He made them leave the perfection of the Garden.

His desire still remains to dwell with us and be known by us, in a soul and spirit baring relationship. He achieves this through the Holy Spirit. Let today be the day, that when you hear His voice and become aware of His invitation, you accept it.

Ask God to bind your wandering and sinful soul to Him. Uncover your soul by repenting of your sin, because of the One who covered you in His blood, so that you may stand before your Creator- forgiven.
