Daily Delight
I don’t know where you are at in your day today, but regardless of the pace you are moving at right now, pause with me and the Lord for just a second before you jump back into the craziness.
Remember that time you sat at the edge of the ocean and its salty mist reached your nose? Or the time you stood atop that beautiful mountain beneath the trees that towered above you?
Remember how sweet, how slow, life moved that day?
Glance at the world around you or revisit that beautiful place in your mind and allow yourself to be swallowed up by the beauty and glory of God’s artistic hand. What an unmatched artist our Heavenly Father is!
“He holds in his hands the depths of the earth
and the mightiest mountains.
The sea belongs to him, for he made it.
His hands formed the dry land, too.
Come, let us worship and bow down.
Let us kneel before the Lord our maker,
for he is our God.
We are the people he watches over,
the flock under his care.

Sister, this world pressures you to move at such a fast pace each day. Do not allow the pace and its pressure to make you forget the fact that you sit in the all-powerful, artistic hand of God! Instead, allow your soul to pause and be immersed in the glory of God around you.
The beauty and goodness of God has saturated this earth! Your challenge is not “finding” the beauty of God around you today but directing your attention to it!
The Creator of the heavens and the very ground you stand upon has you in His mighty hands! So, take the pressure you feel off your shoulders and remember you walk below friendly skies. He loves you, He cares so deeply for you and He finds great delight in calling you His own!
