Daily Delight

Happy Wednesday sweet sister. Open today by reading the following passage from Romans 8:35-39 and be refreshed by the unconditional, steadfast and overwhelming love God has for you:“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? As the Scriptures say, 'For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.' No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (NLT).The kind of love Paul is describing here in Romans is special. It’s unconditional, freely given, unbreakable, and abundant. Sister, this is the kind of love God has in His heart when He thinks of you. On your best days and your worst days, He has the same perfect love for you!Are you able to say the same? Does your love for God and for others mirror the love described here in Romans? More often than I would like to admit, I find my affection and love for God and other people fluctuates on the waves of my changing circumstances! On the days I struggle to love God and others like I want to, I remember my power to do so comes from His Spirit, His word and following the example He gave me in Jesus! Never forget that He helps us in our weaknesses! Our Heavenly Father has set you and me up for great success to love like we are called to by providing us His Spirit to work in and through us when we need Him most!
