Daily Delight

Dear friends, this will be my last post on the Daughter of Delight blog and Instagram platform. It’s truly been an honor to learn more about Christ alongside you and I’m thankful to this ministry's leadership for sharing their platform with me. Likewise, I am grateful that you’ve taken the time to read and internalize these posts. I’ll be picking up my blog, While I’m Waiting, and we can continue this walk together there.

I want to encourage each of you to cherish the Lord’s daily grace. We know He never leaves us nor forsakes us (Deuteronomy 31:6), but what’s struck me this week is that He never leaves me even on my mundane, ordinary days; just like He never leaves me on my most stressful ones.

I always ask for the Lord’s provision or miracles when things aren’t going well - when I have a looming deadline or presentation in front of a large audience - but have I ever asked God for His grace and presence when I’m on vacation? When I’m working from home in my sweatpants?

Psalm 68:19-20 says, “Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death” (NIV).

Satan is lurking each and every day. His daily goal is to kill, steal and destroy. (John 10:10) Praise God that our Father in Heaven carries us in His arms daily. Praise God that our Protector and Provider carries our burdens each day, whether mundane or demanding. Let’s call on Him daily - let’s lean into Him constantly - not just in the stressful times or the times you know you need a miracle, but in the quiet dusk of evenings, on your commute to work or school and in the mountain top moments. He never leaves us.

Let’s grow in a personal relationship with God, and an intimate knowledge of the Mighty One who carries us in His arms on our worst and best days.
