"Holy Spirit you are welcome here."

These beautiful song lyrics have been replaying through my mind. What’s even more beautiful is how God is using these lyrics to change my heart.

I’ve always been somewhat closed off to others, including God. I’m the girl who wants to create my own agenda. I have plans that go along with the timeline I desire. When these plans go astray, I end up in a state of panic. Yet, through countless stories, the Bible tells us we are not always guaranteed comfort and convenience. Our prayers may go unanswered and our schedules may end up completely upside down. But there is good news, sweet sisters! Our Father has a much greater plan in mind for us. His plans remain sovereign!

Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.”
-Proverbs 19:21 (NIV)

Next time feelings of loneliness, helplessness, anger, sadness, or confusion arise in you, look to the One who is higher. Surrender and welcome Him into your life. John 16:33 reads, “...In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (NIV).

I am so thankful we have a Father who keeps calling us to take this journey by His side. Enjoy the music friends, but also give permission for God to change your heart.
