Daily Delight

If you’re anything like me, when you become overwhelmed and stressed with difficult circumstances in your life, you instantly become worried, doubtful, and frantic. You desire to find an immediate answer or solution to fix and change the situation. The only problem is, we cannot always fix everything. 

I wanted to fix a broken relationship so badly, and God wasn’t having it. I was living in sin and far from the Father. I needed to recognize my eyes were fixed on a man and not on God. He was calling me to fix my heart on Him while I was constantly trying to prove I was worthy in the relationship I was so fixed on. The more I found myself gravitating towards Jesus, the more I felt myself being separated from my relationship with this man. 

My lesson learned was this: never let anything or anyone keep you from the King. I was soul-tied and dabbling in sin. I knew in my spirit I needed to let go, but my heart wasn’t ready to. If you’re in a similar place, be comforted by the fact that Jesus fixed it on the cross, and He will move in the presence of your situation when you submit yourself to Him. We have a good Father who holds us in our pain, bitterness, stress, depression, anxiety, and addictions. God will be with you in your darkest hours when you drown yourself in tears of guilt and shame, during restless nights, and through the heartaches. Your healing awaits.
