Daily Delight

Self love, acceptance, confidence—it's a struggle! Girl, I want you to realize that your worth doesn’t come from your outward appearance, your beauty is not defined by a number on a scale. Instead, it is made perfect and whole because God loves you. He made you unique. There is no one else in the world like you—no one. He hand-sculpted you, set you apart, and has such amazing plans for your life. Allow Him to set you free from the negativity the enemy is feeding you. You don’t have to live in a place of discontentment anymore. Place your worth in Him, and let Him fill your heart with His truths. 

Let’s look at David. 

From an outsider's opinion, David would have been the last choice to fight Goliath. He wasn’t big or muscular. He tended to sheep, for goodness sake. But God chose him because of his heart!

"The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." -1 Samuel 16:7 (NLT)

Just as God chose David, He chooses you! Over and over again, He chooses you...not because of your outward appearance. He chooses you because of your heart. He chooses you because He loves and adores you. He chooses you because, in Him, you are more than worthy to be accepted and respected by the King of the universe.

Today, I encourage you to make a choice to push past your negative mindset towards yourself and fill your heart and soul with the things the Lord says about you. 

"By the grace of God, I am what I am.” -1 Corinthians 15:10 (NIV)
