Have you ever asked yourself "What is God's will for my life?”

I know I have.
The will of God is all over His Word. Don't get me wrong, it's so important to seek His guidance when we have things to decide. I believe God has plans for us and it's wise to seek His guidance. But I'm talking big picture here. We may not know exactly what college or job to pick, but big picture ladies, we do know the will of God!

1. Above all, it is that people are saved. “This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of truth” (1 Tim. 2:3-4).

2. "For this is the will of God, your sanctification” (1 Thes. 4:3). The next few verses show us what that looks like...purity, treating others fairly, controlling your passions, etc.
3. Submit to His authority. "Submit yourself for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise for those who do right. For this is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men” (1 Pet. 2:13-15). I will do a devotion on this verse soon because many questions arise from it. The point I am trying to make right now, however, is we see that submission is part of God's will.
4. "For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him but also to suffer for His sake” (Phil. 1:29).
5."Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thes. 5:18).
Sisters, as we seek God's guidance in our life, don't lose sight of what His Word says about His will. God sent His son to die for our salvation. He desires for us to be saved. Because of our salvation we are called to reach others so they may be saved, to be sanctified, to submit, to suffer for His sake, and to be thankful.
Take time and examine your life. Do you see these things happening? If so, you are indeed following God's will! From there I believe He will help guide you in your hard-to-make decisions. Praise God for the clarity in His Word!
