There is a Coming Day

Satan, demons, death, sickness and disease all have one thing in common: they have an appointed end date. In fact, all evil that has resulted due to the fall has an end date, thanks be to God!

There is a Coming Day

Satan will be crushed under our feet. (Romans 16:20) The last enemy to be destroyed is death. (1 Corinthians 15:26) In Heaven, there will be no mourning, crying, or pain. (Revelation 21:4)As I write these words, I let out a sigh of relief. It is comforting to know that life on this side of Heaven, for those in Christ, will not be in vain. To know that righteousness has already won, is empowering. To know that this too shall pass, is reassuring.You live long enough, and you will know heartache, disappointment, pain, and suffering. This is the reality we face on this side of Heaven, due to the fall, but praise God that this too has an end date.

A Perfect Tomorrow

In Romans 8:22, Paul tells us, “For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now” (ESV). Can you imagine that? Creation itself longing to be set free. However, John, in Revelation 21:1, tells us, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away” (ESV). We have the promise of a perfect tomorrow, tied solely to the goodness of our holy and gracious God.Take the words of our precious Savior: “In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also” (John 14:2-3, ESV). What a privilege it is for Christ to prepare a place for us, for Him to desire that we be where He is!With this we can sing with confidence, "There is coming a day when no heartaches shall come. No more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye. All is peace forever more on that happy golden shore. What a day, glorious day, that will be!"
