The human race has wrestled with this question since the beginning of time. While we have advanced in many ways, I would argue that the world’s answer to this question, in this current day and age, is the greatest regression into confusion and deception by the devil, since the Fall.

Whose You Are

Thankfully the truth of who we are is grounded in the One who created us, and He gives us all the answers we need.

It states in Genesis 1:27, “So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them” (NIV).

This beautiful, miraculous truth guarantees us security, worth, purpose, and fulfillment in only our Heavenly Father— our Creator and the Creator of the universe.

Paul reiterates this in the New Testament: “From one man He made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from any one of us. ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are His offspring’” (Acts 17:26-28 NIV).

Security in Christ

Sister, I implore you to lay the burdens and pressures of this world-- to define who you are-- down at the feet of Jesus. Search His Word and learn about who you are, and Whose you are. Let His words bring you security, in Him. He has created you and appointed you for a specific time. He has given you purpose and desires for you to seek Him and find Him.

"Lord I thank you today, 'For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well'" (Psalms 139:13-14 NIV).
