Daily Delight

Before my home wakes, I humble myself before God and lift my family up in prayer. I speak words of life, hope and peace over my husband and daughter. I break the attacks of the enemy. I ask God to pour His spirit into their lives. I speak specific, life-affirming prayers and bondage-breaking words over their lives. It is a messy and tear stained, yet sweet and precious time between my Father and I. I stand in the gap between the ones I love and God, interceding on their behalf. As a daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend, I consider it not only my job, but also an honor to pray.Galatians 6:2 says we are to ‘carry each other’s burdens’, and in Ephesians 6:18, we are told that ‘prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Friends, pray hard and long. Pray for your family and your brothers and sisters in Christ. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.We have been called ‘a royal priesthood’. We have been welcomed before the Father to pray. When Jesus died and the veil was torn, the atonement for our sins meant we were covered by the blood and worthy to go before the Father in prayer. As followers of Christ, we are called to bear each other's burdens. (Galatians 6:2)It is a blessing and honor to pray for you, sister. I pray that God would meet you where you are at and lift you up. I pray that He would reveal Himself to you in new, extraordinary ways. I pray strength, peace, hope, healing and His abundant, never-ceasing love over you.Be blessed!
