Noah – what a weirdo, building a boat in the middle of nowhere, with no body of water in sight. It didn’t make sense in any scenario – but God’s. Turns out , it was the lifeboat of humanity and the entire animal kingdom. Think about it—what God was asking him to do—so awkward. I can picture him going to town like, “I need to order a hundred million pounds of deck screws.” And people being like, “What the heck, Noah?!” And I’d be like, “I need the biggest tarp in the entire world!”Who doesn’t think about what other people think when God asks us to do big and obvious things, and call it faith? I’d like to think I’d say, “Yes God, I’ll build the ark for you,” but the reality is I’d only say, “Yes” if I could hide the ark while it’s being built, and then have the big reveal when it was all done and the flood rain started, and I victoriously saved the entire world and then get a show on HGTV.“But God, it doesn’t even make sense, I live in the middle of Nowhere, USA and nothing like 'that' ever happens here.” What if that thing that never happens in your little world, is because no one was ever willing to partner with God and do that thing, and now God is like,“I trust you to do it?” What if God wants to put your little life on the map as a beacon of hope and light for your city, your region and the entire world– and it’s going to happen when you build that ark?Our faith in action partners with God and trusts God to accomplish what sometimes only makes sense in His plan. So, go to town and order your hundred million pounds of deck screws, and build that thing God’s asking you to build. You don’t need to hide it. Instead – raise the bar of faith all around you – leading by example and acting on God’s voice and giving people permission to build what God’s asked them to build.

What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?” -James 2:14 (NLT)
