"How can I, your servant, talk with you, my lord? My strength is gone and I can hardly breathe.” Again the one who looked like a man touched me and gave me strength. “Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed,” he said. “Peace! Be strong now; be strong.” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength.” -Daniel 10:17-19 (NIV)

"Will it always be like this?” she asked, a look of pain, mingled with something of hope, one heart to another. She wanted to know if the pain of losing a parent would ever leave her. They had talked for over four hours – laughing, crying, instilling courage in each other’s hearts but at the heart of it all, she wanted to know if wholeness was ever going to be a possibility. To which her friend responded, “I’ll be honest, it might not be. You might carry this your whole life – I can’t tell you the future but I can promise you, you will be okay. One day, everything will be made right.” In the Daniel 10:17-19, we find Daniel in a season of mourning. His heart is broken over the state of the children of Israel. He is weak and warfare is in the air. He must have had similar feelings to the girl mentioned in the story above, heartbreak, weakness and a lack of courage.Today, I really believe that Jesus would say the same thing to her as He did to Daniel:

Do not be afraid…everything is going to be all right.” And He is saying the same thing to you, too. Everything will be okay, maybe not today or not tomorrow, but some day. He has promised: “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes and eliminate death entirely. No one will mourn or weep any longer. The pain of wounds will no longer exist, for the old order has ceased” (Rev. 21:4, TPT).

Someday, all will be well. Your heart will be whole and you will know the fullness of His presence. Today, fix your eyes on the hope of Heaven, the reality of Jesus and let Him carry you to the finish line. Take some time today and listen to ‘You Hold Me Now’ by Hillsong Worship. Let the lyrics fill your heart with the promise of eternity.
