Daily Delight
Every child of God engages in spiritual battle throughout their the duration of their lives. Many of us do not know how to engage in spiritual warfare because there's little said about it and so much to it. We're much better at engaging in battles with flesh and blood. Thankfully, we know that God has already won the war. Therefore, we are able to fight from a place of victory and not defeat. As long as we live here on earth, we will battle the Prince of Darkness in our midst.There are so many battles to fight: poverty, economic depression, witchcraft, rejection, broken marriages and families, bad attitudes, tendencies, sickness, and many more. Too many evil spirits are hovering on the face of the earth, but we are not ignorant of the devil’s devices. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the spirit of the devil.Clearly, the people we're fighting against in the flesh are not the problem, so stop fighting them. We fight the spirit behind them, the spirit behind their attitude and behaviors that we do not understand. It is tiring and a waste of our energy fighting a counterfeit enemy when the real enemy is lurking in the background behind them.The sooner we understand, the sooner we can put our armor on and take our rightful place in battle. Although we may not understand spiritual warfare in the ways we wish we could, God has still gifted us strategies and tools to use in our battles. Some battles are/will be more challenging than others, but I am here to tell you to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. He has given you authority and power! You stand in victory, daughter of God. Put on the full armor and fight the real enemy. He has given us weapons of defense (Ephesians 6:14-17) and offense (Ephesians 6:18). We must not turn our back on the fight.God provides everything we need to fight, including His protection. However, the moment you quit and walk away from the battle, you will have no covering. God would rather us focus on how to fight against the spiritual warfare around us instead of focusing on how it all works. So, take His word for it and put on the full armor of God. Fight against the enemy and his evil schemes like your life depends on it, because it does!
