Daily Delight
“Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers ‘There is change in the air.’” -Song of Solomon 2:13 (TPT)
God delivered Song of Songs chapter two into my life almost three years ago to the day. I was in the midst of a dark and gruelingly long winter season in my life. I felt like there was no hope, no change ahead and it felt like I would be battling continually for months if not years to come. His Spirit whispered this sweet encouragement to my soul as I devoured the pages of His Word and I was instantly filled with hope overflowing.
Seasons come and go. There is always the promise of a new life spring after a chilling winter. There is always the faithfulness of the dawn and breaking day after the darkest night. Whatever we are walking through, in Him there is always hope. We hold on in faith to His promises, because He is faithful. We can rest in the knowledge that things wont always be so difficult or discouraging, because our Mighty God always comes through for us. Even at the midnight hour, He will never let us down.
When He spoke these words to me we were coming into spring. From that point forward I could smell the fragrance of the new buds blossoming all around me, and wherever I went I kept seeing my favorite flowers in bloom everywhere! He was beautifully reminding me in the natural of His promise and to hold on to that hope. It wasn’t very long after that that I received my breakthrough and His faithfulness to His promises went above and beyond anything I could ever have imagined.
This chapter goes with me everywhere now, as one of my precious treasures. It is a promise of hope and encouragement and I pray that as you witness the physical seasons changing around you now, you will remember His faithfulness and His invaluable promise to you that your destiny lays ahead and His purposes and plans for you await.
You are the blossoming flower and you carry His fragrance of faithfulness with you wherever you go!
