Jesus.
I just want you-
no bells,
no whistles.
nothing fancy needed
to indicate your presence.
Just You is all I need.
I want to know
You are with me
and you aren’t leaving
anytime soon.
I want nothing more
than to know You better
and worship Your name
and all You do for me.
I want to know You-
your glory,
your power,
your strength
your freedom and
your love.
I want all of who You are.
No strobe lights
No band
or worship song--
No mass chaos
or loudness
is necessary
to know You, the
Prince of Peace.
the lover of my soul.
The holy and praiseworthy one.
I need nothing else
but to know who you are.
No conferences
No games
or gimmicks
or trends.
None of those things
give me what I need—
when what I need
is more of You.
No sermon series or
celebrity guests
compare— for
You are the only one
worth celebrity status.
I need nothing more
than You.
You are all I need.
More of you,
less of me.
less of the worldly things
that deceive me.
Less of the flashy things
that entice me
into putting my faith
where it doesn’t belong.
I don’t want
what the world has.
Their offer
can’t compare
to the deal
You made
to give us life
and
to give us life to the full.
I just want You.
I just need You.
Give me more of You, Jesus.

Jordan Taylor≫ ≫ Jordan is a 22 year old student living in the suburbs of Nashville, her lifelong hometown.
