Daily Delight
“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book.”
-Psalm 56:8 (NLT)
-Psalm 56:8 (NLT)
Ladies, God cares about our hurts. He cares about our pains, the things that cause our hearts to break, our souls to collapse in agony. We matter so much to Him; we are His most prized and cherished creation. Christ has walked among us, lived and breathed, experienced loss and frustration. He understands and that makes His heart break.
In The Broken Way Ann Voskamp writes, “Our broken hearts always break His. It's the quantum physics of God: your one broken heart always splits God's heart in two. You never cry alone.”
I don’t like the idea of God crying but it simply shows His compassion for us. He desires for us to be blessed and live joyfully. My question to you is what is breaking your heart today? Is it circumstance? Is it illness? Is it conflict?
I want you to know that what you’re facing you’re not facing alone. God is with you through it all. He bottles your tears and has recorded them. I know that I myself have cried countless tears and yet He knows the number of them. I don’t know if I want to know how many I’ve cried so far at 24 and how many more I will cry in my life. Yet each single drop is important. My tears matter to Him.
Bring your hurts, worries, concerns, questions, frustrations – bring it all to God (1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 55:22). He already knows them, He’s counted them, but He wants to hear your heart. He desires to be close with us; to hear our voices call Him.
Remember that God cares deeply and that someday we will get to be in Heaven by His side and there will be no more tears or sorrow.
“He will swallow up death forever; and the LORD God will wipe away tears from all faces." -Isaiah 25:8a (ESV)
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” -Revelation 21:4 (NLT)
Hang in there sweet ones. His Kingdom is coming soon.
