Daily Delight
A prayer of thanksgiving and praise on this glorious Resurrection Day:
“Let our prayer be set forth before You as incense; Let the high praises of God be in our mouths, and a two-edged sword in our hand” (Psalm 141:2; 149:6, AMP). Oh Lord, we lift our high praises to You, for “Yours, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the majesty and the splendor..You are exalted as Head over all..ruler of all things..we praise Your glorious Name” (1 Chronicles 29:10-13, NIV).
Our confidence is completely in You Lord, and we desire to pray the Word of God, which is the sword of the Spirit. “You are our safe refuge, and high tower, where no foe can ever reach us. We are safe beneath the shelter of Your wings” (Psalm 61:3-4, NIV).
Thank You how attentive You are to our every need. Even before we begin to pray, You are already answering. “I will answer them before they even call to Me. While they are still talking about their need, I will go ahead and answer their prayers” (Isaiah 65:24, NLT). What an amazing truth this is, thank You Lord!
You clothe us in Your royal array. “I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For He has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like..a bride with her jewels..a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord” (Isaiah 61:10; 62:3, NIV).
Your love is the only love that is unchanging, unfailing and relentless. May each of us hear Your voice speaking through Your Word, and see the tokens of love You so lovingly place along our paths.
I pray that..You will give each of us the mighty inner strengthening of the Holy Spirit...may our roots go down deep and be established in the soil of Your marvelous love, and may we begin to know this love that surpasses knowledge. Thank You that “Your mighty power is at work within us and is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes” (Ephesians 3:16-21, NIV).
May our lives be unto You, an endless sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. Amen.
