Batman and Robin. Tom and Jerry. Lucy and Ethel. Peanut Butter and Jelly. Macaroni and Cheese.
These are just a few of the most stand-out partnerships of all time! They each play their own part in making the team so great.
Partnership and is crucial, especially when it comes to your relationship with God.
I have come to find that some people rely solely on their own efforts and actions in order to make things happen in their lives. Trying to do everything themselves and not giving God any room to squeeze in because they’ve got it all ‘figured out.’
On the opposite side of the spectrum, I’ve met people who take zero responsibility for anything in their lives and leave it all up to God. They do not do their part in prayer nor do they obey His word, but they expect the blessings of the Lord to rain down on them.
Your part: prayer, reading and obeying His Word, serving, fasting, standing on His Word, trusting Him.
God’s part: everything you could never do on your own.
I can only do so much. Knowing this is so refreshing. No matter how hard I try, there really is only so much I can do until it’s time for God to take over and do His part.
I can’t leave it all up to Him and He won’t leave it all up to me. We have to work together.
It’s a partnership. This partnership not only affects your life, but the lives of the people you’re connected to. Your partnership with God is also key in the way He will use you to connect with others.
This is the place where we find the happy medium. I don’t know where you stand on this spectrum.. maybe you’re a little too in control and you need to let go a little and let God in. Or maybe you need to take some control of your life, get in your prayer closet and talk to the one who created you and understands every tear you’ve ever cried. Let’s take this journey together on partnering with God. Let’s do our part. Nothing more, nothing less. And let’s see the amazing things God can do through us in partnership with Him.

She was not raised in the church but was found by Christ as a 20-year-old, alcohol-addicted college student.
