Daily Delight
Do you ever feel like life is actually going well? You're happy. Things feel like they're falling into place and you can see God's direction in your life? Especially after facing dark times, this feeling is just refreshing. We make plans and we love to see them come together. But do you also feel like when things are "good", Satan finds the one weak spot in the happy trail we're on and uses it to allow doubts and fears to enter into your thoughts? He knows when we're happy and content and walking closer with our Lord. The enemy is there to kill and destroy and that also means to kill and destroy our contentment and joy. John 10:10 (NIV) "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
He finds that one button to push. The one weak area that makes us once again doubt ourselves or where that "happy trail" is leading. When this happens, try to remember what state of mind you're in. Are you in a great place with God and know for a fact that He is the ruler of your life? Or are you straying back a bit, not talking with Him as much or getting in the word as much? When we are in this amazing place with the Lord, its harder for Satan's tiny attempts to get into our mind to succeed. Because we are filled with God's word and know how to fight back. However, when we stray, that's when Satan knows he can get into our heads and tell us we are nothing.
Fill yourself with the Lord, He is our great armor to fight back! "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes," (Ephesians 6:11, NIV).
When God has spoken to you and lead you in a certain direction, keep the faith! Keep into His word and stay completely connected with Him. Don't lose that and let Satan worm his way into your mind.
Have you ever heard these words in your head? You're not good enough. You're not pretty enough. You're not smart enough. You're NOT enough. If you give into these lies, please know that is what Satan wants. He's the thief of joy!
Stay close with the Lord, and you will defeat the lies!
Hebrews 10:22 (NIV): "Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water."
